Our Demi-Pair programme offers the opportunity to learn German particularly intensively: on the one hand the participant lives with a family, on the other hand he does a job.
In the morning from 9.00 - 12.30 you attend our morning course. In small international groups, you will learn all basic skills of the German language: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
In the family
During our Demi-Pair programme you will be staying with a friendly host family, who offers you a breakfast and a warm dinner. There will be no cost for you. In return, you take care of the children of the host family: you will play with them, pick them up from the kindergarten or school, make them ready for sleeping, and even look after them in the evening ...
One of your tasks is to help with household chores of the host family, to prepare the food, to clean the kitchen, to do the laundry as well as other light cleaning work.
In order to be able to communicate well with the host family, a language level of B1 is required for this programme. The Demi-Pair programme runs parallel to the language course over a period of 24 weeks. In addition to the language course, the participant takes care of the children of the host family and helps with light household tasks of up to 20 hours per week. A minimum language level of B1 and the completion of the age of 17 is required for the participation in this programme. The host family provides the participant with a single room including half-board for their assistance.
