Junior Summer Program 2020
Due to COVID-19 2020‘s Dialoge Bodensee Sprachschule classic junior program „Summer School Bodensee“ will be postponed to 2021. As an alternative suitable for our students, host families and staff members we have created a junior summer program that will still allow our young learners to experience their summer in Germany.
We are very happy to introduce our 2020‘s junior summer program to you:
Our school is located in the heart of all three German-Speaking countries Germany, Austria and Switzerland with easy access by car, train or to close by airports. Situated on the historic and breathtaking island of Lindau our school provides a view straight onto the Lake of Constance, the city’s harbor and the Alps. With a population of roughly 25.000 Lindau manages to attract a large number of tourists throughout the year. However, still manages to provide a safe and homey environment to its locals and visitors.
The German course
The program includes 25 German lessons per week. 20 lessons take place in the morning from Monday til Friday.
5 lessons take place on two afternoons per week. The course focuses on all four language skills – listening, reading, speaking and writing, adding grammar and vocabulary training on top.
This year, students of our junior summer program will be integrated in our 16+ courses with the utmost care. The small class size of maximum 11 students allows students of all ages to learn together and develop their German knowledge in communicative and interactive sessions.
The Accommodation (Room and Board)
Our students are placed in well-known local home stays, who have been part of the Dialoge family for many years. Our wide variety of host families offers single room accommodation to its students. All families live within close proximity of the school (maximum 30 minutes) and can be reached by foot, bike or bus.
The junior program includes all meals. Breakfast will be served in the host family. Lunch and dinner will be provided by either the school or host family depending on the daily program.
The Leisure time
The school organizes activities on two afternoons and evenings during the week as well as an excursion during the weekend. Activities include e.g. Miniature golfing, stand-up paddling, international evening, welcome party, batik and many more. Excursions will be made to cities such as Munich, Friedrichshafen, Ulm, Stuttgart, Constance etc. and include activities such as city tours and museum visits.
A program stating class, meal and leisure schedules will be handed out to the student at the beginning of each week.
