The historic center of Lindau, with its winding alleys, its historic places of interest, restaurants and beautiful beer gardens, is located on a little island. Onshore you can find scenic parks, gardens and original nature close-by. The neighboring countries Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein are reachable by bike, car or by public transport within no time. There is no other place like Lindau from where you can travel to four German speaking countries within just one day.

Lindau offers a lot of opportunities for adventurous as well as relaxed students.

Mountain and water sports

With the Alps nearby, there are lots of possibilities for hiking, climbing or skiing. But as Germanys biggest inland lake, Lake Constance also provides a lot of opportunities for water sports such as sailing, kiting, surfing, paddling or just relaxing at the beach…
Do not miss the bike path that goes around the lake and the ferries that can take you to different cities around the lake.

Culture and sightseeing

There are a lot of cultural activities to do and places to visit in and around Lindau. In Lindau and the villages around you can find museums, historic churches, castles, manor houses and other points of interest with a long tradition and history. The art museum Kunsthalle in Lindau provides regularly changing exhibitions of contemporary and modern art. The Seebühne in Bregenz, internationally well-known for the Seefestspiele, is reachable in just about twenty minutes.

Wine and festivities

Numerous wineries in the region invite for a glass of wine with or without a snack in their small associated bars called ‚Rädle‘. Also a lot of festivities at the lakeside are taking place throughout the summer season.

Lindau offers all that and even more. It is a place for experience, to relax and to enjoy.

Spare time: Organized or individual

Dialoge organizes a continuous program for the students spare time which includes e.g. different trips, excursions or other activities. The current leisure program is available directly on the welcome page.

Students often build lifelong friendships during the courses. It is also possible to discover Lindau and its environment on your own with your friends.
